2. No cookies, no third-party services

This website sets no cookies. It loads no external fonts, no content delivery network and no third-party content. Every part of the page — including the JavaScript it uses — is served from our own server.

On your first visit we ask whether we may measure how the site is used (section 5). Before you agree, nothing is loaded, nothing is stored and no connection to the analytics software is made. If you decline, or make no choice at all, no measurement takes place in your browser.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM (ProfiHost AG) on servers in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host. When the website is accessed, the host automatically records technical access data (server log files) such as the date and time of access, the page requested, the volume of data transferred, the referring page, the browser used and the IP address. The IP address is truncated at the point of storage, so that it can no longer be attributed to a specific person.

The purpose is to ensure trouble-free operation, to prevent misuse and to evaluate access statistically as described in section 4. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in operational security and in understanding which of our content is being sought. Log files are deleted according to the host's standard retention periods.

4. Audience measurement with Matomo (log file analysis)

For statistical evaluation we use Matomo, an open-source audience measurement application. Matomo runs on our own web space in Germany; no data is transferred to third parties or to third countries. A data processing agreement with an analytics provider is therefore not required.

We use Matomo in two separate ways. This section 4 describes the log file import, which always takes place; the additional measurement in your browser is described in section 5 — it only takes place once you have consented.

In log file import mode Matomo subsequently evaluates the server log files described in section 3. By this route no measurement takes place in your browser — no JavaScript is executed for it, no cookie is set, no tracking pixel is loaded, and no information is stored on or read from your device. It does not recognise you across separate visits.

Only truncated IP addresses are evaluated. The resulting data shows how many pages were requested and which content is in demand — but not which person visited a page. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in designing our offering to meet demand). The evaluated data is deleted after 14 months at the latest.

5. Audience measurement in your browser — only with your consent

In addition to evaluating the server logs, we would like to measure how the website is used — which pages are read, for how long, and by which route visitors reach us. For this we use Matomo on our own server.

This measurement only takes place if you actively agree to it. On your first visit a notice appears with equally weighted "Accept" and "Decline" buttons. Nothing is pre-selected. As long as you have not agreed, the analytics software is not loaded and no connection to it is made. The legal basis is your consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Even with your consent we stay frugal: Matomo is configured to set no cookies, to anonymise IP addresses and to respect your browser's "Do Not Track" setting. No data is transferred to third parties or to third countries. The data collected is deleted after 14 months at the latest.

We store your decision solely in your own browser (localStorage) so that we do not have to ask again on every page. This storage is strictly necessary under § 25(2)(2) TDDDG and therefore requires no consent; it contains only "yes" or "no" and no identifier.

6. Contact form

If you use the contact form on this website, we process the details you enter — name, email address and your message, plus, where you choose to provide them, your company, telephone number, the positions you are looking to fill and how you heard about us — solely in order to handle and respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry is aimed at entering into a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to incoming enquiries).

The form is delivered by email from our own server to our mailbox without any external form service; no form data is stored in a database. To prevent automated misuse (spam) we additionally use a form field invisible to humans (a honeypot) and a signed cryptographic timestamp that works without cookies or sessions. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in preventing misuse). Data submitted via the form is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Transfers to a third country

Data submitted via the contact form is generally not processed outside the European Union in order to answer your enquiry. Should it become necessary in the further course of a specific placement to pass individual details to our partner in Accra, this takes place exclusively on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR, as there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission for Ghana. We will inform you beforehand in such a case.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

• Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
• Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

To exercise these rights, contact us informally at the address given in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; the authority responsible for Bonn is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).

9. Changes to this notice

We update this privacy notice whenever the processing of your data or the legal situation changes. The version published on this page applies.
